Feast your eyes on the sleek lines and innovative design of the future! Get a 360-degree preview of the new device in the gallery below. Every angle, every curve, meticulously captured. Still not satisfied? Dive deeper with our exclusive video showcasing a complete, immersive view. The Galaxy S26 Ultra isn’t a revolution, but a refined evolution. Let’s dissect what makes it tick, and later, we’ll pit it against its ancestor to see just how far we’ve come.

Prepare for a sleek, unblemished visual experience: the Galaxy S26 Ultra is doubling down on the flat display, complete with a discreet, centered camera cutout. Envision edge-to-edge immersion thanks to impossibly slim, symmetrical bezels. And for comfort? Gently rounded corners nestle perfectly in your palm, ensuring a premium feel without sacrificing ergonomics.

Physical buttons are on the right side once again

Circling the device, your fingers first meet the familiar trio: the power button nestled comfortably beneath the volume rocker on the right. The left side remains a sleek, uninterrupted expanse. At the base, a carefully curated collection awaits. There, you’ll discover the SIM card tray, the phone’s main speaker ready to blast, and a Type-C USB port for rapid charging and seamless connectivity. But the real magic lies in the bottom-left corner: the S Pen stylus, tucked snugly into its alcove, practically begging to be unleashed.

Flipping the phone over reveals a reimagined camera array. While still packing a quad-lens punch, the design takes a bold new direction. Forget flush lenses – prepare for a camera island. Three vertically stacked lenses command the left side, rising from a shared platform that juts out significantly. How significant? We’re talking a 4.5mm leap from the backplate, contrasting with the phone’s svelte 7.9mm profile. This isn’t just a camera bump; it’s a statement.

The camera setup on the back looks a bit different

Instead of a sleek, unified camera island, imagine this: three lenses nestled neatly together, and then –bam– a lone wolf fourth camera boldly jutting out directly from the flat backplate. Think of it as a rebellious outlier. Above this renegade lens, the LED flash and sensor cutouts join the party, stacked vertically like an exclamation point. The rest of the phone’s backplate remains impressively flush. The flat frame maintains this minimalist aesthetic, softening its edges with a subtle curve towards the front and back, promising a comfortable grip.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra specifications (rumored)

Whispers from the future hint at a monstrous device on the horizon: the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. While its official unveiling remains shrouded in the mists of time, tantalizing details have already begun to emerge, painting a vivid picture of sheer power. Prepare yourself, because this isn’t just another phone; it’s a technological juggernaut poised to redefine mobile performance.

At its heart lies the brand-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Qualcomm, during their Snapdragon Summit 2025, practically confirmed its presence, even without naming specific handsets. But let’s be honest, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a lock. Expect the absolute peak of performance, likely a special "for Galaxy" edition – an overclocked beast ready to tear through anything you throw at it.

The dual chip strategy seems to be back

The next phone might be a tale of two processors. While one model could boast the expected processing power, whispers suggest the return of the Exynos 2600 in select markets. Remember those days when Europe enjoyed Exynos while the US and China flaunted Snapdragon? History might repeat itself, especially for the standard and ‘+’ models. Only time will tell Samsung’s strategy. One thing’s for sure: an Exynos variant seems highly probable. Complementing this silicon heart will be a staggering (up to) 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, paired with a massive (up to) 1TB of UFS 4.0 or potentially even faster UFS 4.1 storage. Sadly, expandable storage remains off the table.

What about the dimensions? The phone is said to measure 163.4 x 77.9 x 7.9 (12.4mm with the camera bump). It is tipped to weigh only 217 grams. In terms of the display, the phone is tipped to use the new M14 OLED panels. That display is also said to feature CoE (Color Filter on Encapsulation) technology. That tech will allow the display to be thinner, reduce glare, and improve light transmission. The display size is tipped to be 6.89 inches, though it will likely be marketed as a 6.9-inch panel. It will basically the same in size as the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s panel.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra could support faster charging

When it comes to charging, rumors are going back and forth. Some are claiming that 45W wired charging will be unchanged, while others are saying it will support 60W wired charging. It remains to be seen. We are, however, hoping that Qi2.2 wireless charging will be supported, at 25W max. The phone will include magnets on the inside, so we’re hoping that Samsung will make full use of them. Android 16 is expected out of the box, along with One UI 8 or One UI 8.5, even. A 5,000mAh battery will likely remain unchanged compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, however.

Regarding cameras, well, we won’t see a major boost, unfortunately. There will still be four cameras on the back. The main camera will be a 200-megapixel unit (f/1.4 aperture, 1/1.3-inch sensor size), and will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. The telephoto camera could actually get a downgrade. A 10-megapixel unit (1/3.94-inch sensor size, f/2.4 aperture, 1.0um pixel size, 3x optical zoom) could be used, which is smaller than the Sony IMX754 inside the Galaxy S25 Ultra. What about the periscope telephoto unit? Well, Samsung will still use a 50-megapixel unit with a 1/2.52-inch sensor size and 5x optical zoom.

How will the Galaxy S26 Ultra compare to its predecessor?

How does this compare to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, the current-gen model? Well, generally speaking, the designs are very similar, with the major difference being on the back, with the design of the camera section. We have two comparison images that will give you a better look and allow you to compare for yourself. Those images are placed in the gallery below, and show the Galaxy S25 Ultra on the left, followed by the Galaxy S26 Ultra on the right.

Side by side, the resemblance is uncanny, yet dig deeper, and subtle nuances emerge. Your eye will immediately dart to the reimagined camera module, but that’s just the beginning. Anticipate a Galaxy S26 Ultra embracing curves with a newfound confidence, its corners softened into a more sculpted form. Whether this design evolution resonates is a matter of personal taste, but one thing remains comfortingly familiar: the meticulously mirrored placement of the side buttons.

While the camera cutouts on the Galaxy S26 Ultra retain their familiar arrangement, a striking camera bump now distinguishes the phone’s rear profile. Beyond the bump, the lenses themselves adopt a more understated aesthetic. Gone are the glossy accents; instead, the S26 Ultra embraces a stealthier, sensor-focused design. The Samsung logo remains steadfast in its position.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra vs Galaxy S26 Ultra spec comparison

Every year brings a familiar dance of incremental upgrades, but where does the Galaxy S26 Ultra truly break from its predecessor? The answer lies beneath the surface, in the silicon heart of the beast. Expect a seismic shift in processing power, headlined by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 3nm marvel promising unparalleled performance. But the plot thickens! Whispers from Samsung’s own foundries hint at the Exynos 2600, a revolutionary 2nm chip now rolling off production lines. Will we see a repeat of the regional chipset lottery? Last year, the Galaxy S25 Ultra enjoyed exclusive Snapdragon power, a consequence of Exynos 2500 production hurdles. Will Exynos finally claim its stake in the S26 series, or will Snapdragon reign supreme once more?

The display will be better, but similar

Whispers from the tech grapevine suggest the Galaxy S26 Ultra will hold steady on display size, resolution, and refresh rate. However, brace yourself for a visual upgrade. Samsung is reportedly doubling down on glare resistance and packing a more advanced screen technology under the hood. Expect a familiar RAM configuration, mirroring the S25 Ultra’s impressive 16GB of LPDDR5X (market dependent, of course). Storage mirroring seems probable, too: a capacious 1TB ceiling, all powered by lightning-fast UFS 4.0 flash storage. Sadly, expandable storage remains a dream.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra might just redefine "powerhouse." While rocking the familiar 5,000mAh battery, prepare for a charging revolution! Rumor has it, 60W wired charging is on the horizon, potentially obliterating current charging times. And wireless? Fingers crossed for a 25W boost.

But the real game-changer? Magnets. Yes, the S26 Ultra is expected to pack built-in magnets, paving the way for the future of charging: Qi2.2 magnetic charging. Say goodbye to finicky alignment and hello to effortless power transfer.

And forget the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s meager 15W wireless speeds. This upgrade hints at a strategic shift – ditching reverse wireless charging for a faster, more efficient reverse wired charging solution. The S26 Ultra isn’t just about more power; it’s about smarter power.

Don’t expect a major boost in the camera department

Hold on to your hats, photography enthusiasts! While the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s main 200MP camera (1/1.3-inch) remains a steadfast powerhouse, prepare for a brighter, more breathtaking world thanks to its widened f/1.4 aperture (up from f/1.7). Get ready for stunning low-light performance!

Now, brace yourselves: a slight shift in the telephoto lens department. While details are still emerging, expect the ultrawide (50MP, 1/2.5-inch) and periscope telephoto (50MP, 1/2.52-inch) cameras from the S25 Ultra to potentially grace the S26 Ultra. This suggests a strategic refinement, potentially prioritizing advancements in other areas while maintaining excellent zoom capabilities.

Rumors swirl around the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, whispering of an Android 16 debut, gorgeously draped in either One UI 8 or 8.5. A year prior, the S25 Ultra launched with Android 15 and One UI 7, a pairing that has since evolved into the sleek, powerful One UI 8 experience. Fear not, adventurers: the S26 Ultra is expected to retain the battle-tested IP68 certification, ready to withstand the elements.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra isn’t entering a solo act. Fresh off the heels of Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max debut and still buzzing from the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL’s August arrival, the Ultra faces a two-pronged assault. But the competition doesn’t stop there. Looming large is the OnePlus 15, poised for a global launch either this holiday season or early next year. Expect it to landbeforeSamsung’s flagship, and pack a punch where it hurts: price. Whispers suggest the OnePlus 15 will aggressively undercuteveryrival mentioned. Prepare for a brawl.

Beyond the familiar borders of US carriers, a smartphone revolution is brewing. Forget the usual suspects for a moment, because China’s tech giants are about to unleash a wave of innovation. First, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is poised for a global debut, flaunting a dual-screen design challenging Samsung’s dominance and a camera system ready to redefine mobile photography. Not to be outdone, Vivo’s X300 Pro and OPPO’s Find X9 Pro are also gearing up for release, clearly aimed at dethroning the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. And let’s not forget the HONOR Magic8 Pro, a premium contender rumored to be just around the corner. Finally, for those seeking true independence from the Google/Apple ecosystem, the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra offers a compelling, alternative flagship experience. The smartphone landscape is about to get a whole lot more interesting.
