New Security Patch Hits Samsung Galaxy S22 and S23 Series Phones
It is now the January 2026 Android security update on Samsung Galaxy S22 and S23 series devices. The launch of all six smartphones is beginning in Korea but will soon be available to other markets, according to the company’s rollout.
The Galaxy S22, GalaxyS22+, Samsung S2 Ultra, galaxy S23, and Galaxy s23 Ultra are all getting the update just to be sure. We’re talking about the main devices from both lineups here.
All of these devices have a nearly 400MB update for all, having said that. For some reason, it’s slightly larger than the Galaxy S22 series but still under that 400MB level. It’s a stage-wise update, so even when it comes to your area you may have to wait.
It seems that this update only provides security updates, with that being said, to . In the update, 55 security fixes are included in . Out of those 55 fixations, 23 are from Google – but two don’t apply to Samsung phones.
4 fixes from Samsung Semiconductor and 30 from the Samsung Mobile. One of these fixes is critical, 28 are high-risk and 3 moderate-hazard by Samsung, the company said.
When your phone will notify you when the update is ready, . And, if you can (but) check manually and hopefully speed up the process slightly faster, you do. It may do so via Settings -> Software update (Download) and install for paraphrasingr.
So far this update has been released to a group of Samsung phones up until now. In a way, all flagship devices from this and last year have been received (and some other devices including the Galaxy A series mid-rangers) as well as their own.
Samsung released this patch a little faster than it has done for the past couple of years, as is so true in its recent patches. Just like you own one of the Galaxy S22 or S23 devices, don’t worry if you have that update.
