Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Design

A three-quarters of the Galaxy Z TriFold (when unfolded) looks like a typical Samsung Galaxy J Fold 7 from back. The display is next to the backplate of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and that’s the galaxy Z TriFold, a second back plate added on the rear of this display. The same is the case even on their camera islands, even when they are s. Three vertically-aligned cameras are mounted on the back of both phones, and they appear in the top-left corner of each phone. Then they go on both phones, a bit of.

While the Galaxy Z TriFold is a tri-fold device, while it has two displays like the Samsung Z Fold 7 does, in contrast to its two display counterparts. Despite its large main panel, it has a much larger primary panel than . It has two modes, though there are also two ways for to be used. When you fold it, you either use a full-sized display or the cover display. That’s what is essentially the case with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, but you have a smaller main display to use. Samsung chose not to do things like Huawei Mate XT and xTs.

A display camera hole is also located on the main display of both devices, and thin bezels around the display are rather thin. No matter where they are oriented, the power/lock and power button keys sit on the right-hand side of the devices. Both phones are made of various materials, from aluminum and glass to titanium and others. That’s all about it, . A glass back is used for example in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and a ceramic-glass fiber-reinforced polymer back (Glask) TriFold, for instance.

The slam-up tri-fold handset is much heavier at 309 grams, up from 215 grams of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. But that’s not a shock for at all. When folded, it’s also very thicker, and similar thickness when unfolded. IP48 certified water and dust resistant phones for both phones are IP 48.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Display

All these phones require both to display, a foldalbe one and an ordinary one of them. What is the tri-fold start with? Galaxy Z TriFold A 10-inch tri-fold Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate is also available. It is a HDR-supporting , and has an up to 1,600 nits brightness. It is approximately 90% of screen-to-body ratio, and 43 in display aspect ratio (see below) for . This resolution is 2160 x 1584 pixels and available here as an offer for . Cover. This is also a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, and 5 inches in length. This displays at a 120Hz resolution, supports HDR content and is up to 2,600-nits high. It is protected from this panel by the Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 which protects it from . This resolution here is 2520 x 1080.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 AH 01

Similarly the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which displays 8-inch Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X, has an 8 inch Folding Dynamo A MOLED display. And that panel also provides a 120Hz refresh rate for HDR10+ content, and supports HDRI10 +. It has a peak brightness of 2,600 nits here, as per . It has an average screen-to-body ratio of approximately 90%, and a resolution it supports is 2184 x 1968 pixels. Cover 6. A Dynamic LTPO AnMOLED 2X panel is 5 inches and it’s a 5-inch . This is an 120Hz refresh rate, and it’s protected by the Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 – which supports a 60Hz speed. Resolution here 2520 x 1080 pixels.

all of these displays, in all honesty, are perfectly fine. And they’re vivid, sharp and have good viewing angles. We only used the Galaxy Z TriFold for a short time here, but we were perfectly fine with the displays. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 has the advantage of having a much more bright main display, which you’ll notice in direct sunlight but that on the Galaxy J TriFold is fine. Good cover displays, both are good for .

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Performance

Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor is the power behind the Samsung galaxy Z TriFold. Does the company’s flagship chip last year is its first chip? That chip is supported by 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage for that chip. Conversely the Galaxy Z Fold 7, also features the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, with up to 16GB RAM and upto 1TB of storage as well. Neither phone supports storage expansion, nor does .

Here you should get basically the same performance as it is here, because this internals of performance are essentially the exact same. Both phones are roughly the same even as their software builder, albeit with relatively similar similarities. I think the Galaxy Z Fold 7 did a good job performance-wise for us as compared to our previous one. The Galaxy Z TriFold is a fine device that we didn’t use for long (not yet) but was okay when we tested it. When we get a review unit, and then we’ll have to do some deep testing.

For both of these smartphones, day-to-day performance should be a piece of cake. Exactly the same can be said for gaming, in fact, as is true with . But the internals here are more than strong enough to run basically any game, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 proved that it was a powerful version of this. Is it a good idea that the cooling on the Galaxy Z TriFold is up to the task, let’s hope. And when we get our hands on a review unit, that’s certainly one thing we’ll look out for.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Battery

This is a significantly larger main panel, so that the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold has ‘larger battery pack’. In addition to the 4,400mAh battery on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it has a 5,600mAh charge than its predecessor, . Despite the fact that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 had good battery life at this point, it is not as competitive with some other book-style foldables on the market. And that’s a sign of the significantly higher battery life, and many of them offer much more power than they are.

The pecking order of the Galaxy Z TriFold is not certain, but we’re sure it will be fine in terms of battery life. It’s not miracle-making but we’re going to give something like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 battery life. Most people should be able to keep their day alive for the whole world of them, it is just enough time. Such predictions are very unkindly ungrateful, though each of us uses our phone differently (not to say that this is a foldable we’re talking about). size-wise a Foldable with two significantly different displays.

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is a 45W wired, 15W wireless and 4W support for the phone’s . A 5W reverse wireless charging is a phrase that s use. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (as it is known today) has 25W wired, 15W wireless and 4. A 5W reverse wireless charging is a phrase that s use. But if so, yes, the company’s tri-fold should charge up a bit faster than the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is a full charge for an hour and if half of its power, it takes about an hours and one-half to reach the full charger.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Cameras

There are three cameras on the back of these two smartphones, one on a foldable panel and one in the cover display. In both of them, there are five cameras in total so that they all have a camera. Hence, the camera hardware is completely identical between the two cameras with that said. Essentially, Samsung used the camera setup of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and shoved it in the galaxy Z TriFold.

AH Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold 01

The main camera is 200-megapixel (f/1) and both smartphones are a smartphone with ”. A1/1, 1/7 aperture, 7 aperture. A 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2) and 3-inch sensor size, OIS, multi-directional PDAF), as well as a 12-mp sensor scale (3 inch sensor sizes). Paraphrasing 2 aperture, 1/2. 120-degree FoV) 55-inch sensor size,. Both phones have a 10-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2) as the third camera on their back is. 1 1/3 – 4 aperture, 3. The OIS, PDAF; 3x optical zoom) 94-inch sensor size (Ois, 4 inches),.

The main camera sensor is actually quite solid, while the other two are ‘kind of behind’ in size and quality. That is especially true for the telephoto camera, which has s. That’s not a good camera in good lighting, let alone low-light. So, in fact if you plan to shoot pictures at low light, just stick with the main camera. The ultrawide one is not exactly the best for that reason, either because it’s a great . Let’s hope Samsung will push the camera hardware forward with the next 2026 foldables, let’t say it. But when you use the main camera, they do look nice and saturated for most of the images (see ‘The pictures are good looking at all that well. At times, they even go a bit on the oversaturated side of .

Audio

Stereo speaker speakers are also available on both of these phones, including . We didn’t test the ones yet, but we’re hoping that this is a similar performance to what the Galaxy Z Fold 7 does. While the speakers inside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 are good, it is not as loud as many other regular slab flagship phones.

There is no audio jack on either of these two phones, nor does . But if you want your wired headphones connected via the Type-C port, you can. Alternatively, Bluetooth 5 is 5. Both are equipped with 4 for wireless audio, i.e 4.
