The Anker Soundcore Work Is The AI Wearable I Didnt Know I Needed
Anker a few months ago at IFA, back announced the Soundcore Work, an AI recorder that is super small and wearable. I had been pretty excited when Anker first introduced this in a pre-IFA briefing. Having been an editor and attending the ton of launch events (including The World Economic Council, MWC, IFA every year) as a journalist who attends this kind of event is very useful. This is one of the main reasons why I still have a Google Pixel; Google’s Recorder app was just the best at recording and transcribing.
At least it was.
It had been slated to be sent out back by Anker in September, but some sort of mix-up was so it didn’t come until December. and have been using it like a ton of . As for the industry, you know that December has a lot of pre-briefings and many pre–conferences for CES are full of people. Sadly, I can’t share any of those recordings right now because they’re all under embargo. I can talk about how well it was done, but I recorded a lecture at the University of Michigan that I could share with my professor.

Anker’s Soundcore Work is small but mighty
This is about the size of a coin, but it’s tipped slightly thicker than its real recorder (the actual one) and that “recorder” is roughly the same. Several microphones on the recorder, even from far away and beyond, allow for pretty good sound quality. This is due to how the microphones are placed on the recorder, so that the sound is clean and crisp. It also allows the AI to transcribe and summarize the recording more easily, as is possible by .
It also has magnets built-in, so you can easily clip it onto your clothes and record everything. It has a button on the side that you push to start and stop recording, which is something s say? When the button is depressing, you can see instantly that it’s on a button. On top of that, there is also an orange-yellow light when it is recording a . A good touch about s is that when you start or stop a recording, the recorder will vibrate. Surely Anker has thought of everything here, really.
In a small case for the recorder, there is actually an actual pretty killer feature built in it that has been described as ‘the most effective thing ever done to me by s. This is a pretty flat case, so that the recorder snaps into place on this sort of . It can be attached to the case or separately too, as is the customary . The case will charge the recorder, of course, but on top of that it has a magnet built-in which attaches to MagSafe or Qi2 phones. making it really easy to carry around,’ . In the next iteration, Anker can add that in a new now as it does not charge MagSafe or Qi2.
The case has a USB-C port on the bottom for charging, three LED lights to indicate battery level and button to turn on those LED light.
But maybe the best part of the Soundcore Work? Find My support. The Soundcore Work also includes Find My support for the soundcore work, so if you’re an iPhone user, you can find your recorder easily unless you lost it somewhere somewhere. That’s a nice feature of having in it. Anker has no choice but to add support for the Google Find Hub for Android users, my only complaint here is that it does not include anker’s support.
The Soundcore Work is also black and white, which Anker sells in both black & white by Ankers. The black color does also make it very easy to get grease out of your fingers. Whether that is the case for white model, I’m not sure whether that was the same case.
Anker’s Soundcore app makes using the Soundcore Work a breeze
Hardware is a big deal, of course, for . The software, especially on an AI recorder, is the software — but so is that. For this product, you’ll be using Anker’s Soundcore app. Set up and connect with is pretty easy. The app interface is surprisingly pretty simple, and the appUI is quite straightforward.
On the main page of app, you’ll see a list of devices that you have connected to your account. For me it’s just the Soundcore Work. The files are immediately clicked on, or a second for to connect and tap the device. If it’s a , it will show you the battery level of the recorder and the case.
When you use that upper part of the screen, it will take you to the device info page (a lot of useful information) and this is a great deal of data. Including the size of space on the recorder, including s. There’s 8GB of storage here (not a lot of sound) for recording audio, and that’t too much space.’ Anker has added an extra 4GB to this? That’s enough for recording 268 hours of audio – less than 11 days of recording for 24 hours straight.
A note of note is that once audio is synced with the app, it is deleted from a recorder’s file. And so that is certainly way more than you’ll ever have to be able to store 8GB of storage, as per . Similarly, Anker does not store your data back to the cloud here at anker’s expense. Your device stores all recordings of . Similarly, if you uninstall the Soundcore app, you’ll lose it. The app has a “Data Migration” option to transfer data to another device, but you can use the feature in the app’s ‘Data migration’ function to move data.
AI features that rival the big brands
Of course, Anker (Soundcore) is not the first company to produce an AI-based recorder. Of course, Plaude is another big name that comes to mind as a . It was a good first AI recorder for Anker, and I have to say that it did so well. That’s a $159 ($99 at the time of writing this) and for that price, I think you’re getting.
How would you describe the capabilities of AI in a ? And of course, there’s transcription for . It’s not a new thing, but Soundcore Work can also create AI Summaries and Anker has quite some templates. The “Intelligent Identification” is a pretty good job for me and I usually keep it on the . There are also Templates for Meetings, Discussion, Reports and Tasks & Interviews as well as much more.
I really like these AI Summaries. How true are they, and how good is the formatting? I’ve been in these CES Pre-Briefings, for example there is obviously talk about new products and embargo dates. sound core work, can bring that to a full-time basis and in briefings where several products had different embargo dates it was able to prove that on. per-product basis the ‘per-program of edcore Work has been an example of what is meant by this type of product’. What’s the most helpful ? The context of CES was also available, for example “a company talking about where their booth is and other events they’re going to be hosting in Las Vegas, Soundcore Work could bring that into a specific section too.”
If that wasn’t enough, you can also download the Summary and/or the Transcription to a PDF and share with someone. The PDF is here’s a . There are other ways you can send it out as a txt file, markdown, the word “DOCX” or ‘PDF”.
It can be quite long, the PDF above is around 12 pages and a total of about 44 minutes of audio. And so it’s not a quick summary of some stuff that happened in an hour-long meeting with . It does a great job, everything.
The best thing about the Soundcore Work is that it’s not only trancribing and summarizing, it’s making you understand and skim when needed.
Should you buy the Anker Soundcore Work?
It’s the big question, “I think it is about what you do for a living and should I buy Anker Soundcore Work.” I think that it’s good to remember ideas, but I don’t know if it is worth the $159 price tag for just reminding yourself about things. When I have to sit for many meetings, briefings, interviews like you do, then it is more than the money. This product would be a good deal, and I’d happily pay over $200 for this. Because it uses so much AI, then you’re gonna see the better of all.
What is the real difference between Anker Soundcore Work and competitors like Plaude AI, in terms of subscriptions? Now there’s a subscription in the Soundcore app, but it doesn’t need to be subscribed.
Pro ($15) Anker does have a Pro (Anker ). Free 99/month, $99/year) and Unlimited ($239/y) plan (although if you don’t use the recorder a ton), you can follow the Starter program instead of using it. For example, on the Starter Plan you have 300 minutes of monthly transcription allowance. It’s approximately 5 hours of sound, or about 5 hour for . I have been in this month with all the briefings. But I’m pretty shocked that my answer is not more than that, but I was very close to it. Some other Pro and Unlimited plans also have some of the most valuable features. You get 1,200 minutes of transcription per month for Pro; well, unlimited Unlimited is well and well. The Aggregate Summary and Ask AI features are also included in these two plans as well. If they are not the same as the Starter plan, then they do.
Can’t sing Anker’s praises anymore than I am? It’s a great product, . This is a simple-to-use, the AI works as it was intended and has several common-sense features. Anker hasn’t paid to cover here for any coverage of an and no. A review unit of the Soundcore Work was provided only by Anker for an interview with a commentator.
